We Are Life Savers

At the heart of our mission are the animals themselves, receiving a second chance through our dedication. In Atlanta, dogs and cats under our care or in our life-saving centers get the essential love, medical attention, and training they need for a chance at finding their forever homes.Moreover, we implement programs across Atlanta aimed at preventing pets from entering shelters and ensuring those that do find homes more swiftly.

Pet Adoption

With countless dogs and cats in Atlanta shelters annually in need of homes - and too many not surviving simply because they're overlooked - we believe there's no justification for buying from breeders or pet stores. Furry Friends of Atlanta is dedicated to making adoption an accessible and positive journey for all involved.

Foster Programs

We collaborate with local shelters to nurture emerging foster programs and advocate for the critical role fostering plays in the welfare of community pets. Our Foster Programs Playbook, filled with guidance for developing a robust foster network, is freely available to help organizations keep foster participants engaged in our shared no-kill vision.

Spay/Neuter Services

By supporting accessible, affordable spay/neuter services, we aim to reduce the number of unwanted litters ending up in shelters. Furry Friends of Atlanta backs spay/neuter initiatives citywide and provides low-cost services through our centers.

Community Cat Programs

We refer to them as community cats: free-roaming felines in Atlanta whose unchecked populations contribute significantly to the shelter euthanasia rates. Through our humane trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) efforts, we're curbing the flow of countless litters into shelters, allowing these cats to return to their communities healthier and sterilized.

Collaboration is our cornerstone. By uniting with other animal welfare organizations, we're innovating lifesaving methods that redefine how Atlanta cares for and protects its homeless pets.
